We have been CrossFit Bairnsdale for the past 3 years, previous to that Marty has been training people in the gym/fitness industry for the past 19 years. We have seen it all and worked with all types of people, from the really fit professional athletes, to the clients that need to lose 50kgs to improve their life.
On top of this Marty is a qualified physiotherapist, so if you are dealing with pain or injury we can easily accommodate these conditions.
So why CrossFit? We believe CrossFit is the best practice of group training to achieve everyday results for “everyday people”. CrossFit utilises Weightlifting, Strength Training, Gymnastics, Cardio and body weight exercises. All of these modes of exercises are rolled into high intensity WODs (Workout Of the Day) to help each participant achieve amazing results.
The results are brought firstly by the frequent use of resistance-based exercises to change body composition and increase resting metabolic rates. Secondly by the high intensity of each WOD this helps triggers metabolic changes to the body.
On top of these reasons, CrossFit is something different every session so it has a wide variety of training so you do not become stale or bored of the training sessions. The biggest positive reason for CrossFit is the COMMUNITY! You get to experience the “shared suffering” within a group of like-minded people all working towards their own individual goals. Once the suffering is over there are high 5’s and pats on the back. This community aspect helps support each other to continue on their individual quest for the health and fitness goals for longer periods of time with a greater success rate.
We make training fun, so when you enjoy your training you are more likely to continue to training over a long period of time which yields success.
